Registration of workshops

Oral sessions and posters

Length

The timing of your presentation is of utmost importance. With so many parallel workshops and sessions, we want to stick strictly to the time schedule. Please, practice your talk and make sure that it fits in the time available.

There are two types of oral presentations with different length:

. Workshops: Length 30 minutes per presentation including discussion
. Sessions: Length 20 minutes per presentation including discussion

Please consult the program schedule for more details.

Powerpoint presentations

The standard media to be used for your presentation is a computer with beamer equipped for MS Powerpoint presentations. We will have this equipment in all meeting halls. We strongly recommend you to prepare your talk in the following format: MS Powerpoint 2000 for Windows 2000 or XP.

We will also be able to handle earlier versions of MS Powerpoint.

Please notice:

. We will not organize electronic transfers of your presentations over the internet.
. It will not be possible to hook up your own laptop to the beamer.
. We want your presentation on a CD-recordable readable in a Windows PC, preferable at the time of your registration at the desk.
. We will put all presentations for a certain session or symposium on a memory stick and bring that to the lecture hall. In order to have smooth transitions between papers, it is very important that we have your presentation on a CD at registration at least 24 hours before your session.

Classic slides and overheads

We want to ask you to use electronic presentations if at all possible. If you still want to use classic diapositive slides or overheads, we would appreciate it if you could send an email to 8thintecol@cppantanal.org.br

Instructions for posters

There are two large poster sessions. Posters can be mounted on boards of 2 m height and 90 cm width. Poster slots will be numbered and the number of your poster will be visible.

Please mount your poster for the Monday evening session as early as possible in the Expo Hall from Sunday 15.00 h. It is very important that you remove your poster at the end of the session on Monday at 19.30 h.
